General Projects & Process
How do I start a project with Power Solutions?
Once you contact us, we’ll prepare a draft proposal and pricing at no charge. Once accepted, we begin approvals, design, and coordination.
How long will my project take?
Simple projects typically take 12–16 weeks. Projects involving transformers or cable may take 20–30 weeks depending on supply lead times.
Can you manage the entire process?
Yes — from design and documentation to installation and sign-off, we handle every stage with our in-house team.
Subdivisions
What’s required for 224C sign-off?
You’ll need a compliant electrical design, street lighting, and network approvals. We manage and deliver all of this on your behalf.
Do I need to contact Aurora or council myself?
No — we’ll handle the communications, documentation, and approvals with Aurora and local councils.
Street Lighting
Can you install council-compliant lighting?
Yes, we work to current council and Aurora specifications, including pole types, fittings, and placement requirements.
Can you install lighting for private roads or accessways?
Absolutely — we can design and install compliant lighting for private or non-council areas as well.
Network Power
Can you help increase my site’s power capacity?
Yes — we can assess your load, advise on upgrades, and deliver a compliant, scalable solution.
Can you move existing lines or poles?
Yes — we handle asset relocation, undergrounding, and coordinate with Aurora for approvals and execution.
High Voltage
Do I need high voltage testing on my site?
If you’re operating at high voltage or managing a subdivision, yes. We offer certified HV testing including insulation, discharge, and voltage withstand.
What’s a 3D visual concept and why is it useful?
It’s a digital model of your HV layout — helping you visualise network plans and spot design or clearance issues before installation.
Commercial Solar
Can I sell excess solar power to the grid?
Yes — we design export-ready systems and manage the distributed generation approval process with Aurora.
Do I need battery storage for solar?
Not necessarily. Many of our clients run grid-tied systems. We can design with battery-readiness if you want to expand later.
EV Charging
Will adding EV chargers overload my power supply?
It can if not designed properly. That’s why we run full load analysis and install smart load balancing systems.
Can I link EV chargers to my solar system?
Yes — we can integrate your solar array with EV infrastructure, or future-proof your system for it.
